My Philosophy in Life

We live each day without the assurance that we will still live tomorrow. Despite knowing this, then what motivates me to wake up every day?  Even the decision to wake up or not to, is difficult. But knowing the fact that there is still tomorrow, the willingness and desire to be part of it is what propels me to continue living on my life.

For my 21 years of existence in this world, I have experienced the best and the worst. Best when I passed the LET and got the first taste of a real job right after graduating college and worst when my mother was not there to see what I have achieved.  I would say I am who I am and where I am right now because of my outlook in life and the decisions I’ve made in life guided by the Lord. Experiencing the worst thing that happened in my life may have hinder me to continue on living because of that idea which I’ll  quote “what is good in living when you already lost that one person who loves you the most and who you love the most”. But no, I did not stop on living ,  because I believe everything happens for a reason. There is always something great that awaits me ahead, so I turn it into a motivation instead  and use it as a fuel, because if I will allow my life to freeze and  continue on weeping and mourning on what already happened, I may not be able to achieve something greater. Moving forward may seem difficult but if you will pair it with hope and belief that a rainbow is set to appear on the next few miles, then it would not be difficult anymore.

Rita Pierson once said, "Every child deserves a champion-an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection, and insists that they become the best they can possibly be"The other thing that allows me to ride on through life is wanting to be that champion that a child deserves. Hence, the reason why I pursue a baccalaureate degree in education. Imparting knowledge and educating the young has always been my dream and my passion. Helping the young to dream bigger and molding them to become a great and useful citizen of our country is my small way of changing the world. George Counts asserted that “Teachers should be agents of change” . Yes, I aspire to change the world and my way of doing that is to change the lives of my students.

Overall, the philosophy in my life that I’ve mentioned above defines who I am. I am a person who will always look at the brighter side of everything, a person who will never give up despite everything that happened and will happen, and most specially a person who will be that one champion that a child needs to motivate them to become the best that they can possibly be. I also believe being and becoming that person fulfills the purpose that was embedded on me.
